Bio:
A Boston resident of 16 years, Gem Mutlu was born in Istanbul, Turkey. He attended Robert College, obtained a bilingual education and earned a
degree in Business Administration from the renowned Bosphorous
University. While in college, Gem also earned a license as an interpreter and tour manager, and worked in tourism for four years before coming to
Boston. Here he attended Berklee College of Music and studied voice and percussion. Gem has a love of languages and had taught himself Spanish, Italian and Portuguese at a young age, and worked as a Spanish, English and Turkish interpreter and translator before starting his real estate career. Gem comes from a family with three generations of experience in the hospitality industry, which inspired him to train and work in service related fields for over 20 years. Gem brings these skills to his career in real estate, where he has been with Gibson Sotheby's International Realty for 9 years. He takes pride in treating his clients with utmost care, attention to detail and integrity.
In his spare time, Gem is devoted to the art of music. He is on the advisory board of Dunya Organization (www.dunyainc.org ), a local non profit entity committed to intercultural musical events. He performs and records regularly with them.
In addition, Gem is an active contributor to The Pine Street Inn and Home Start, local organizations dedicated to ending homelessness, one person at a time.
