Bio:
Ben Rego is the newest member of our marketing team. A recent university graduate in May of 2011 from James Madison University in Virginia, Ben moved to Boston in the Fall of 2011. Born and raised in the island of Bermuda, its close proximity to Boston has allowed Ben to visit the city quite frequently throughout the years and build a passion for its neighborhoods, charm and of course, sports teams.
Growing up in a real estate family, Ben’s father grew two Sotheby’s branches; one in Bermuda (Rego Sotheby’s International Realty) and the other in Turks and Caicos (TCR Sotheby’s). It seemed inevitable that Ben would take a keen interest in the field, and thus he has spent many of his summers working in various departments for the Rego Sotheby’s affiliate in Bermuda. Since joining the Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty team, Ben continues to work closely with the agents for creating various print advertising for their different listings. In addition, Ben assists in the blogging and production of written material pertaining to Gibson’s marketing initiatives and weekly updates.
In his spare time, Ben is an avid sportsman from playing golf, squash, basketball and baseball to enjoying all water sports and boating that he grew up on in the islands. With travelling all around the world and learning from different cultures as his passion, Ben recently spent time in Costa Rica with The Road Less Travelled and reconstructed a school for a local village in the mountains near San José. When back home, Ben also continues to volunteer at Meals on Wheels Bermuda. Ben is proficient in Spanish, and currently is living in the South End of Boston.
