Boston's West End Real Estate
The West End, considerably impacted by Urban Renewal of the 1970s, is a small but significant community tucked behind Beacon Hill. Historically an ethnically diverse and vibrant neighborhood, the West End today is home to Massachusetts General Hospital. It is a popular residential neighborhood for medical staff from many nearby facilities, as well as professionals who work Downtown.
It is home to Charles River Park, a high-rise residential community convenient to Beacon Hill. Other residential high-rises have been rebuilt and are mostly upscale units however much of the wishes of the area is to get back to the close knit community that the West End was built upon. There is also the West End Museum which highlights the history of the people and the area while the West End Community Center hosts events and classes, and most notably hosting the Annual West End Children’s Festival.
