The Wayland Village Plaza Just Sold for $6.3 Million

The ever so popular Wayland Village Plaza now has a new owner, Katz Properties out of New York. This 31,677 square foot suburban strip mall at 297 Boston Post Rd. (Route 20) is home to a variety of businesses, most notably the Whole Foods Market. The now former owners, Henri and Issac Mehrez of the seller title Wayland Group Realty Trust, owned the plaza since the 1980s and actually procured the buyer.

Purchased for $6.3 Million, a spokesperson on the transaction stated, Wayland Village Plaza garnered tremendous interest from multiple buyers due to Whole Foods tenancy and its performance at this location. What also made the asset so appealing was its strategic location in Wayland, proximity to major thoroughfares, strong area demographics, and upside leasing potential.
