Gibson Sothebys International Realty agents Kyle & Leslie Mann of Weston are donating $1,000 to the Animal Rescue League (ARL) of Boston for every home listing they sell this year. Kyle and Leslie have successfully represented buyers and sellers across Bostons Metrowest suburbs for more than a decade.
The couple first got involved with the ARL a few years ago when they heard a news story about Turtle, a severely injured bait dog who had been cruelly dumped by the side of the road in the middle of the winter. The Manns hosted a fundraiser to help cover Turtles extensive medical costs and to help raise awareness about animal cruelty. Through this work, they gained a huge appreciation for all that the ARL staff and volunteers do every day to rescue animals from suffering, cruelty, abandonment, and neglect.
Happily, Turtle has recovered and is now thriving in her new home. One of Turtles rescuers, Debby Vogel, the Manager of Volunteer and Educational Programs, went on to state, After months of recovery she looks like a completely different dog - she just looks amazing. Shes doing really, really well.
Leslie Mann added, It was crushing to see an animal so mistreated. Fortunately, thanks to the ARL, Turtle has made a full recovery and is in a loving home. Its hard to describe the joy we had in seeing how well shes now doing. We are immensely thankful for the kindness and dedication of everyone at ARL to help Turtle and so many other animals like her get a second chance.
We congratulate Kyle and Leslie on all of their efforts for the ARL of Boston and are encouraged by their dedication to the League in 2013 and beyond due to the vast impact they will undoubtedly make.
