On Thursday, May 19th, Beacon Hill Garden Club will be hosting its 87th Annual Tour of the Hidden Gardens of Beacon Hill.
A prominent member of The Garden Club of America, Beacon Hill Garden Club is a local organization dedicated to urban gardening, specifically in the beautiful Beacon Hill area which surrounds its home base on Charles Street. Every year, a tour of the charming streets and private gardens is put on by the club and its members, with proceeds feeding back into urban gardening initiatives in Boston.
The tour will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and feature window boxes overflowing with flowers, sidewalks swept, gorgeous trees in bloom and all of our business owners enthusiastically welcoming visitors, as well as the first ever pop-up of Jardin Boutiques, offering hand-picked, garden-themed art and clothing from various Charles Street shops, and complimentary Tea and refreshments in the Church of the Advent.
The club encourages visitors to make a day of it by visiting one or more of the many attractions Beacon Hill has to offer. It lists a wide array of local restaurants, such as the famous Cheers pub and Beacon Hill Hotel & Bistro, as well as shopping options and museums on its website, along with details on how to buy tickets. The advance sale price is discounted at $45, and purchases can be made on online or in one of six Beacon Hill stores.
The Tour of the Hidden Gardens is sure to be a vibrant day full of beautifully colored flowers and equally beautiful, cheerful spirits. Visit www.beaconhillgardenclub.org for details.
