Whether you find yourself wandering the quaint cobblestone streets of Beacon Hill, exploring the bustling metropolis of the Financial District, or passionately cheering on the RedSox at Fenway Park, Boston is a city buzzing with energy. Filled with rich history, stunning architecture, and immense local pride, the community here is comprised of families, young professionals, scientists, thinkers, and dreamers alike.
Saili Kline, a well-known Social Media photographer in the Boston area, fits each of these categories. As a mother, a student, a nurse, and an artist Saili is a true reflection of Bostons dynamic and innovative spirit. Her journey as a photographer began when she relocated from Denver just a few years ago. The desire to share her new home with friends and family led her to Instagram, a tool that allows her to quickly and conveniently capture and share images with loved ones. Over time, she developed a deep appreciation for all that Boston has to offer and her artistic inspirations began to flourish. The city is not only beautiful, but walkable! she says, you can walk, photograph, and learn history while enjoying the sights and sounds. Inspired by the energy of the city, Saili uses photography to capture the colors, tastes, sounds, and people in each place she visits. The best part about photographing Boston, she says, is capturing the contrast of the old and the new.
After admiring the gorgeous imagery on her Instagram page, we reached out to Saili in hopes that she would be able to capture the essence of some of our most unique properties from a different perspective. We began at 33 Beaver Place, a newly renovated Carriage House in the heart of Beacon Hill. A sprawling four bed, four-and-a-half bath home, 33 Beaver Place reflects the prestigious, old-world charm that Beacon Hill is known for. With five ornate fireplaces, a gorgeous wood-crafted library, custom crown molding throughout, and an incredible private roof deck, this elegant home is full of intricate details and remarkable character.
Our next stop was 37 Day Street in North Cambridge. This sun-filled, stylish home is a stark contrast to the more traditional style of 33 Beaver Place. Situated in the heart of one of greater Bostons hippest destinations, Davis Square, 37 Day Street is bright and open with three spacious bedrooms, two-and-a-half luxurious bathrooms, and an abundance of closet space. Flaunting high ceilings, wide-plank oak floors, built-in shelves, and a shiplap-wrapped gas fireplace, this stunning renovation makes for a perfect, modern retreat within an urban village.
Sailis unique perspective has given us the opportunity to view each property in a new and imaginative way. By comparing the classic intricacies of a historic Beacon Hill home to the modern and stylish amenities of 37 Day Street, we can distinctly see the contrast between the old versus the new, a comparison that sets Boston apart from anywhere else in the word.
