We are pleased to present our Agent Spotlight on Jill Michaud of Gibson Sotheby's International Realty’s Manchester-by-the-Sea office!
What did you do before real estate and how did you get started in the business?
Before my career in real estate, I was the Business Development Manager at my family-owned car dealership, Michaud Mitsubishi. Through my work at the dealership, I focused on building one-to-one relationships with our customers and ensuring all services were met with excellence. Real estate has always been a passion of mine and it was just 4 years ago when I made that change to become a realtor and I am so happy I did.
What is something your clients find comfort in that makes them turn to you for their real estate needs?
When I first meet with a client, I set that standard of expectations of how I will advise them from beginning to end. My clients know they can trust in me and the advice I give them. From my knowledge of surrounding markets and having a wealth of resources within all aspects of the real estate industry- my clients know I am here to work diligently to help them buy and/or sell. Through open communication and consistency, my clients appreciate staying up to date and having clear expectations throughout the process. I am here to serve my clients, understand what is important to them, and leverage my personal expertise with resources to have successful transactions.
What are some of your favorite local hobbies, activities or organizations that you participate in?
I have been an active member in the Greater Beverly Chamber of Commerce for 9 years and am ending my Presidency term this December. The chamber has been incredible over the years to meet others in the community, expand my network, and meet local professionals/business owners. It is important to me to be involved in my surrounding communities and give back whenever I can. Grateful Friends is a non-profit organization supporting adults going through all different cancer treatments. I am proud to say I am the Sponsor of the Month this past December! I love giving back to important organizations and causes. Being a strong community member is a priority to me. In my free time, I enjoy cross-fit training, fine dining on the North Shore, and spending time with my big family and dog!
What do you love most about where you live and work?
I have lived in the North Shore area all my life. I love how we are close to the coast but also have the city. There are so many things to do and places to see! There is a strong sense of community here which has been so important to have especially throughout the pandemic. I live in Danvers currently and love the accessibility to surrounding towns and the city.
What are three sources of joy in your week?
- Knowing I helped my clients accomplish their goal
- Spending time with my big family and dog Mitch
- Bringing ease to my clients and their situation
