What did you do before real estate and how did you get started in the business?
Real Estate is my first and only career! I graduated from the College of Charleston in 2004 and always knew I wanted to sell real estate. My cousin was in commercial real estate so I worked with him for a few months and then he introduced me to the world of residential real estate in 2005 and the rest is history! I was a Top Producer for 5 years with Prudential Carolina in Charleston, SC and then moved back home to Boston in 2010 and have been selling real estate in MetroWest ever since! I currently live in Sudbury and work in the GSIR Sudbury office.
What is something your clients find comfort in that makes them turn to you for their real estate needs?
My clients appreciate that I go above and beyond the typical duties of a real estate agent. Both selling and buying a home can be quite an involved process and I am always happy to help my clients through it, step by step. From staging their homes to providing information on local amenities and contractors, I love to help my clients, far beyond the transaction. My work is 100 percent referral-based and these happy clients allow me to grow my business exponentially.
What are some of your favorite local hobbies, activities or organizations that you participate in?
I am a proud sponsor for the Sudbury Youth Sports teams, as well as volunteering and fundraising for the Sudbury School System. Whenever there's a rare weekend that I'm not busy showing houses, I enjoy traveling with my family.
What do you love most about where you live and work?
I live and work in Sudbury and have been here for 10 years now. I love the convenience of all that Sudbury has to offer. We have so many great restaurants and shops, all within a 10-15 minute drive. While it's fun to go into the city on occasion, it's also nice to have so many fabulous options so close to home. I find that many of my clients gravitate to Metrowest simply because the schools are consistently ranked top in the state, it's a stone's throw to all commuter routes, a quick trip into the city and you can enjoy all of the beautiful spots for fishing, hiking and exploring the conservation trails.
Favorite spots in Sudbury?
I love walking the trails at the Assabet Wildlife Refuge and exploring the trails along Hop Brook Conservation. And of course the Farmer's Daughter restaurant, the New City Microcreamery and Whole Foods are forever on my list of "favorite spots" as well : )
What are three sources of joy in your week?
1. Hearing my kids' squeals and laughter echo through the woods as they explore the woods behind our house.
2. Early morning walks.
3. And nowadays, there is nothing better than calling my clients to tell them that they've won an incredibly competitive bidding war! That will always bring me joy : )
