Working out of Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty’s newest office in Padanaram, Team MCM are experts on Massachusetts’ South Coast region. In addition to their unparalleled local expertise, Maggie Tomkiewicz, Christopher Hiller, and Margo Choquette utilize their diverse skill sets and backgrounds to provide seamless service to a wide variety of clients. Read on to discover what makes the South Coast special to this exceptional team, and how they work together to meet their clients' needs across the region.
What is something your clients find comfort in that makes them turn to you for their real estate needs?
Maggie: Having sold real estate along the South Coast for over 30 years, my clients are confident and comfortable with my knowledge and experience in both the real estate process and the local area. I also have an in-depth understanding of the many and varied waterfront communities that make the South Coast so special.
Chris: A lot of what draws people to want to live on the South Coast is their love of boating… and because I am an avid sailor, have raced all my life and am currently serving on the board of the New Bedford Yacht Club, I am able to connect with clients by sharing my extensive knowledge of the local harbors and waterways. Once I make that connection, there is a natural tendency for people to then have confidence in my understanding of the local real estate market as well.
Margo: The majority of my career has been in the hospitality industry and so the desire to connect with and be of service to people comes very naturally to me. I genuinely want the best for my clients and the team and that, hopefully, comes across in all my interactions. I am detail oriented and pride myself on strong follow up and follow through. Just as it was in my days in the hospitality industry, my goal is always to anticipate a need ,rather than wait to be asked.
What are some of your favorite local hobbies, activities or organizations that you participate in?
Maggie: I feel blessed that I love what I do and it’s a good thing because sometimes there is little time left for hobbies. In fact, a lot of my free time is spent volunteering and serving on industry related committees and boards. You could say staying up to date on everything real estate is my hobby. When I am encouraged to relax, I enjoy walking our area’s beautiful beaches in search of sea glass.
Chris: Sailing, running, and collecting vintage Land Rovers.
Margo: Home is my haven and so I enjoy cooking, decorating and antiquing.
What do you love most about where you live and work?
Maggie: There is so much variety on the South Coast, including beaches, villages and farms. It is truly an undiscovered area by most visitors and we absolutely enjoy giving new clients what we call our magical mystery tour.
Chris: The South Coast is definitely a hidden gem – just an hour’s bridgeless drive from Boston and 40 minutes from Providence. There are so many special communities within our region that pretty much everyone can find a spot that matches their wish list and personality.
Margo: After living in the Deep South for so many years, I absolutely adore living in a charming coastal New England Village.
