When asking Chris Roy what he attributes the success in his career too, he’s quick to note the environment that he grew up in. “My family worked together as large scale developers, and constantly stressed the importance of how business and strategy needs to be blended with integrity and relationships beyond the deal,” says Roy.
Family discussions of negotiations, relationships, business practices, contracts, and business strategies were, and still remain, a part of Roy’s life and are discussed on a regular basis. For Roy, finding professions in which he could apply everything he has learned was a priority. His skillset meshes exceptionally well with his industry, and beyond that, real estate offers Roy the opportunity to work on various types of deals with different ranges of complexity and collaborate with a wide range of individuals and groups with different levels of experience and goals.
“There is, of course, problem solving in every deal, but it’s in the more complex real estate deals that I feel I offer the most value and am able to use all I’ve learned,” says Roy.
