She began her real estate career on Boston’s Beacon Hill, In 1983, she founded Boston Bay Realty in the South End where she quickly established long-term relationships with many of Boston’s top developers. Over the span of her career she has marketed numerous pre-construction condominium projects at record breaking prices. Her involvement begins at the acquisition of the property through the architectural design and finish process to completion of sales She specializes in both boutique and large scale new developments. Some of her boutiques projects include the widely acclaimed Ottello, an 8-unit building in Boston’s Leather District, 79 Chandler St, a 9-unit boutique building in Boston’s South End, 32 Rutland St in the South End, 134 Mt. Auburn St. Watertown, Mass. a stunning church conversion. Large scale developments include 485 Harrison Ave. in Boston’s South End, the church at 45 W Broadway and the Allele Building both in South Boston, Riverbank Lofts, Watertown, Mass, Porter 156, East Boston, Granite Lofts, and Brookside 999 Hancock St. both in Quincy. All sales exceeded developer’s expectations. In addition to developments, Mary has sold to many individual buyers who remain friends and repeat customers. The loyalty of her clients is a testimony to her energy, dedication and commitment. In addition to her passion for Real Estate, Mary devotes much of her time to a variety of charities. She is Board President at Project Place, a non-profit that works with homeless men and women to secure educational, job and housing opportunities. She is the Founder of Yoga Home Yoga Aum, a non-profit yoga program working with teens, adults and veterans in 12-step recovery programs. She is on the Celebration Committee for the Rodman Celebration, supports Boston Healthcare for the Homeless, Boston Living Center, Christmas in the City, The Alzheimer’s Association, Phoenix Multisport, Laboure College and Nativity Prep. Together with her husband Kevin Leary, she has received the Callahan Service award from the Nativity Preparatory School, the Silver Key Award from The Irish Charitable Society and has been honored for her service to the Gavin Foundation. Mary is a long time resident of the the South End where she raised her daughters Erica and Tessie. She is a proud parent and grandparent of Connor, Declan, and Fiona.
