A Connecticut native, Richard J. Curtiss grew up spending summers in Chatham. Throughout college, Richard split his time between the slopes of Colorado as a member of the University of Colorado Boulder Freestyle Ski Team and working on Tuna boats here on the Cape. He has lived in Aspen, Washington D.C., New York, Newport, and Boston and now makes Chatham his full-time home. He has lived in Aspen, Washington D.C., New York, Newport, and Boston and now makes Chatham his full-time home. Rich is a founding partner of Chatham Kelp, LLC, an ocean farm growing Sugar Kelp off Hardings Beach. An enthusiastic photographer he enjoys all the beautiful places the Cape has to offer. Other hobbies include saltwater fishing, fly fishing mountain streams, art, and cooking with the daily fresh catches of the beautiful ocean.
